Enable Skype for Business Online and Overcome Common Challenges

If you're struggling to get Skype for Business up and running, you're not alone. Many organizations are finding it difficult to enable Skype for Business online, especially those who have recently signed up for Office 365 subscriptions with less than 500 users. In fact, if you've joined the platform after October 2018, you may be surprised to find that Skype for Business Online isn't included by default.

This means you can still use the Skype for Business client to join meetings hosted elsewhere.

However, it's worth noting that Microsoft Teams is the recommended replacement for Skype for Business Online, offering a next-generation instant messaging, voice and video calling, and meeting experience along with group chat and collaboration tools. Before enabling Skype for Business online, consider using Microsoft Teams instead.
